Potsdam Fire, Potsdam Rescue, and County Car 10 responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a single car at the intersection of State Highway 72 and Wheeler Road at 1932 hours. The incident was quickly updated to a three vehicle accident. Upon arrival, responders found that a truck had slid off the roadway into a ditch. A second vehicle stopped to check on the driver of the truck and a third vehicle subsequently struck the second vehicle, causing significant damage. No injuries were reported among those involved. Emergency personnel managed traffic at the scene until all vehicles were safely winched out and towed. All units were back in service at 2115 hours.
