Check Your Sump Pump!

With the upcoming warmer weather, the Potsdam Fire Department wants to remind residents to check their sump pumps to make sure they are operating properly. Clear any debris from the sump hole, check to be sure the float is working properly, and ensure the drain hose is clear and has no obstructions to the discharge flow. A few minutes spent now to be sure it is operating properly could save you a lot of money in water damage.
