At 3:40pm, Parishville Fire and Rescue were dispatched to a possible structure fire, called in by a passerby. At 3:41pm dispatch alerted that the residence was possibly abandoned and that this was now a confirmed working fire. At 3:43pm Potsdam Fire and Hannawa Falls Fire were added to the call, requested to bring Engines, Tankers, and Manpower. Potsdam TA-100 was first on scene, stretching multiple lines while crews performed a 360, confirming fire throughout the residence. Due to the age of the house and confirming it was abandoned, crews worked defensively to limit exposures and prevent injuries. Potsdam T-5 was brought to the scene and set up on the A-D corner in order to suppress fire from above.

Potsdam Fire was back in service at 7:40pm.

Thank you to West Stockholm Fire for standing by at our station and covering village calls for us.
