| At 5:03am, Canton Fire and Rescue, and Pyrites Fire were dual dispatched to a fire at a sugar shack in Pyrites. At 5:11am Incident Command requested Potsdam Fire to stand by at Canton station with an engine and manpower. At 5:14am IC upgraded this request to a Potsdam Tanker to the scene. TA-100 arrived in Pyrites and set up draft at the Pyrites dam to fill tankers and send water to the scene. E-48 and manpower stood by at Canton Station to provide coverage for the village of Canton.
The fire is currently under investigation by St. Lawrence County Fire Investigators.
Potsdam Fire was back in service at 8:00am. |
