| At 11:12am, West Potsdam Fire, Potsdam Rescue, and County Car 10 were dispatched to a reported garage fire at 1224 State Highway 345. Potsdam Fire was auto aided for TA-100 to the scene. Manpower from Potsdam as well as a tanker task force including Norwood Fire, Madrid Fire, and Morley Fire were requested to the scene shortly after. Potsdam Fire setup draft with E-80 from Trout Brook and fed water through 2 1/2” hose lines to West Potsdam’s E-116. Multiple lines were used to contain the fire and limit exposures. State Highway 345 was limited to 1 lane while crews continued water supply throughout the duration of the fire. There were no firefighter or civilian injuries related to this incident.
Potsdam Fire was back in service at 1:20pm. |
