The Potsdam Fire Department has responded to numerous calls over the last few days, they are as follows:

January 18, 2022 at 1417 hours - Fire Alarm activation at Clarkson University, alarm malfunction

January 19,2022 at 0720 hours - Motor vehicle collision on Maple Street, Property damage only

January 19, 2022 at 1043 hours - Fire Alarm activation at Price Chopper on Market St. Testing Sprinkler system, failed to notify

January 20, 2022 at 1702 hours - Fire Alarm at Walgreens on Market St - unintentional

January 20, 2022 at 1854 hours - Lifting Assistance with Canton Rescue on Cherry St in Potsdam

January 20, 2022 at 2148 hours - Request to provide a driver for Potsdam Rescue

January 21, 2022 at 1831 hours - Fire Alarm activation at SUNY Potsdam Townhouses. Fire in an oven, out on arrival, FD personnel ventilated the apartment.

January 21, 2022 at 2250 hours - Mutual aid with Norwood Fire to shut down State Highway 56 at Sissonville Rd for a gas leak.

January 22, 2022 at 0816 hours - Fire Alarm activation at SUNY Potsdam Bowman Hall. Alarm set off from steam

January 22. 2022 at 0938 hours - Automatic Mutual aid with West Stockholm fire for a propane leak on the Pleasant Valley Rd

January 22, 2022 at 1648 hours - Fire Alarm activation at Clarkson University Ross House - Alarm activated by marijuana smoke

January 22, 2022 at 1937 hours - Fire Alarm activation at Clarkson University Woodstock Village #4 - Alarm activated by smoke from cooking

January 22, 2022 at 2022 hours - Fire Alarm activation at SUNY Potsdam Bowman Hall - Alarm activated by broken sprinkler head

January 23, 2022 at 0219 hours - Fire Alarm activation on Swan St - Found to be a Carbon Monoxide alarm. Firefighters detected Carbon monoxide using a multi gas meter. Scene was turned over to Liberty Utilities.
Units: Engine 49 Rescue 30
 
Mutual Aid: Given to : Norwood Fire, and West Stockholm Fire
