The members of the Potsdam Fire Department held their annual banquet on April 18, 2026. The event took place at the Potsdam Elks Lodge. The evening began with opening remarks from emcee Torey Russell of the West Stockholm Fire Department. Attendees then enjoyed a prime rib dinner. After the meal, the emcee introduced guests, Honor Roll members, and the widows of past members who were present. Following these introductions, several awards were presented. Fireman of the Year was awarded to Stephen Davis. Aggravator of the Year went to Jim Corbett. Rookie of the Year was presented to Nick Gruda. Chiefs Awards were given to Sam Allen, Sage Demers, and Brad Andrus. The Springarm "I'll drive" award was awarded to Mark Maroney. Service awards were as follows: 5 years Michael Keleher and Stephen Davis. 40 Years of service to Christopher Taylor and David McGregor. The Department extends its thanks to the Canton Fire Department for providing a standby crew, allowing Potsdam members to enjoy the evening.
