Very nice web site. I remember going by your station when I was a child and visited family in Potsdam. I just flew back from FL last month and there was a couple on the plane from your town, so we talked about the changes since I was last there in the mid 80's.

Great web site guys!! It is such a pleasure to have a neighboring Fire Department like Potsdam. As a small Fire department like us in Hannawa Falls it is hard to get personal to respond during the day time hours considering most of our members have 9-5 jobs which do not allow them to leave when the tone goes out. Its a great feeling knowing that we have such a well rounded Fire Department such as you guys just next door that if called for mutual aid you are there in a heart beat. Potsdam Fire continues to amaze me call after call I cant count how many times I hear Potsdam called to a possible working structure fire and with in minutes of being out of service I would hear ICs like Chris Taylor or Dave McGregor on air stating to hold all equipment the fire is out! Great job guys and keep up the superb Fire Fighting. I know I am not only speaking for my self when I say our Department looks forward to working with you guys for many years to come. Thanks for being there when needed&.Stay save and god bless.

Hello everyone back in upstate NY. Great looking site. Everything is well down here in Central Florida. A little bit busier than up there, Fire Rescue down here runs about 450 calls a month. The Dept is made up of career perssonel with 20 volunteer postions. So things are runned a little diffrent down here, took some time to get use to. I am going to the Fire Academy in Sept. and hope to get a full time postion after that. This dept covers 750 sq miles out of 4 stations and a fifth one is to open in the fall. Well keep up the good work and stay safe.
